Genius Hour Reflection Activity
Summarize the purpose of your Genius Hour project in 140 characters.
The purpose of this genius hour project is to teach kids about the need for fitness, how it positively effects their lives, and how to implement running into their daily schedule.
Explain the process of your Genius Hour project. Be reflective. Be contemplative. Explain and describe your journey. (No Less Than Three FULL Paragraphs.)
We started out in class one day when Mrs. Sutton said, "You are all being forced to do something for your community." or something like that. We started out by making a website that would inform people about our project. We finished it off by helping out at the annual fun run and helped with a bunch of kids.
The intention For Genius Hour is NOT only to learn, but ALSO to share your knowledge with others who can and will benefit from your learning. How did you share your learning? What do you hope the result might be? (No Less Than Two Full Paragraphs.)
We shared our learning by showing kids proper running technique and cheering them on so that they would enjoy the running experience and want to do it again. We also took pictures that the families can view of their children running and having a good time.
If you could do anything different with your Genius Hour project what would you do differently and why? (No less than two full paragraphs.)
I would definitely spend more time with the kids. The time we spent with the kids was very minimal and I wish we had a lot more.
Reflect on what you did well during this Genius Hour process? Note your successes and accomplishments. (No less than two full paragraphs.)
I feel like we positively effected the population of children in Kingsford. Those who attended the fun run definitely enjoyed it and I had a lot fun.
Include any videos, pictures, presentations, or artifacts that will document your journey.
